The Unfolding Story

The koru symbol for Term One represents the unfolding of stories about the children in Room 8. As the children get to know each other, they reveal more information about themselves. The first part of this journey is a timeline of significant events in each persons life.

Mural Art

From the first day of school each child in Room 8 was given a small piece of the picture puzzle to paint. Nobody knew what the finished product was going to be until the images began to form. The purpose of the mural making was for the children to work interdependently. This required the children to find the pieces of puzzle that connected with theirs, that was being painted by others.

Swim Week

Room 8 has made excellent progress over swim week with many of the children completing 200 meters in backstroke and freestyle.
